Photo Backup (“the App”) is developed by YS Tech. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
Apple Sign In
When you sign in with Apple, we receive and store the following information locally on your device:
- Your Apple user identifier (a unique, anonymous ID)
- Your name (if you choose to share it)
- Your email address (if you choose to share it)
This information is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any external server.
Photos & Videos
The App requests access to your photo library solely to perform backups to your chosen external drive. Your photos and videos are copied directly from your device to the connected external storage. They are never uploaded to any cloud service, server, or third-party platform.
No Analytics or Tracking
Photo Backup does not collect analytics, usage data, crash reports, or any form of tracking information. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information stored on your device is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate your identity via Apple Sign In
- Display your name and email on the Profile screen
- Perform photo and video backups to your external drive
3. Data Storage & Security
All data (sign-in credentials, preferences) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. Your photos and videos are written directly to the external drive you select. No data is transmitted over the internet.
4. Third-Party Services
Photo Backup does not integrate with any third-party services, ad networks, or analytics platforms. The only external service used is Apple's Sign in with Apple for authentication.
5. Data Deletion
You can sign out at any time from the Profile screen, which removes all stored account information from your device. Uninstalling the App also removes all locally stored data.
6. Children's Privacy
Photo Backup does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
